Look for the telltale signs of a job scam

VIEWER. SURE, MOST OF US WOULD LIKE TO STAY AND WORK FROM HOME, STAY IN OUR COMFY CLOTHES ALL DAY LONG AND MAKE A LOT OF MONEY, RIGHT? WELL, SCAMMERS KNOW THAT TOO, AND THAT’S WHY THEY TRY TO PULL OFF SCAMS LIKE THIS. A VIEWER SENT ME THIS TEXT MESSAGE SHE GOT CLAIMING THAT HER RESUME HAD BEEN RECOMMENDED TO A REMOTE WORK COMPANY, AND SHE WAS IMMEDIATELY BEING OFFERED AN ONLINE JOB. CHECK OUT THE BENEFITS. WORKING JUST 30 TO 60 MINUTES PER DAY, A WIDE SALARY RANGE, AND SHE WOULD BE EARNING NO LESS THAN $9,000 PER MONTH. SO LET’S DO THE MATH ON THAT. $9,000 A MONTH COMES OUT TO A SALARY OF $108,000 A YEAR, WORKING NO MORE THAN 60 MINUTES A DAY. SIGN ME UP, FOLKS. ACCORDING TO ZIPRECRUITER, THE AVERAGE WORK AT HOME SALARY IN PENNSYLVANIA RIGHT NOW IS ABOUT $58,000. JOB SCAMS LIKE THIS HAVE BEEN GROWING FOR A WHILE. OUR VIEWER KNEW THIS ONE WAS A SCAM FOR TWO REASONS ONE, SHE NEVER APPLIED FOR A JOB. TWO, SHE TELLS ME SHE’S BEEN RETIRED FOR ABOUT TEN YEARS. NO JOB DESCRIPTION. AN IMMEDIATE OFFER, AND AN EXTREMELY HIGH SALARY FOR DOING ALMOST NOTHING. THE WARNING SIGNS HERE ARE EASY TO SPOT, BUT SADLY, THERE ARE PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO WILL TAKE THE BAIT AND FALL VICTIM TO THIS JOB SCAM.
